New Additions to ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2
Variety reports that “The Last of Us” Season 2 has expanded its ensemble with four fresh faces.
Danny Ramirez as Manny
Ramirez, recognized for roles in “Top Gun: Maverick” and “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” embodies Manny, a devoted soldier grappling with past wounds and the fear of letting down his comrades.
Ariela Barer as Mel
Barer, known for her work in “How to Blow Up a Pipeline” and “Runaways,” portrays Mel, a young physician whose dedication to saving lives is tested amidst the harsh realities of war.
Tati Gabrielle as Nora
Gabrielle, familiar from “You” and “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” takes on the role of Nora, a military medic wrestling with the consequences of her past actions.
Spencer Lord as Owen
Lord, recognized for appearances in “Riverdale” and “Family Law,” embodies Owen, a compassionate individual thrust into a warrior’s existence, torn between duty and compassion.

Season 2 Overview
These additions augment the cast of “The Last of Us” Season 2, joining returning stars Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie. Additional new cast members include Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, and Kaitlyn Dever as Abby. Catherine O’Hara also recently joined the cast in an undisclosed role.
Story Background
Based on the renowned video game by Neil Druckmann and developed by Naughty Dog, “The Last of Us” is set two decades after civilization’s collapse. Joel, portrayed by Pascal, is tasked with smuggling Ellie, a young girl, out of a harsh quarantine zone, embarking on a perilous journey fraught with danger and emotional turmoil.

Written and executive produced by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, who also direct episodes, the series is executive produced by Carolyn Strauss, Evan Wells, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, Jacqueline Lesko, and Cecil O’Connor. A collaboration between HBO and Sony Pictures Television, the show is produced by PlayStation Productions, Word Games, The Mighty Mint, and Naughty Dog.
